Federal Criminal Background Search

Federal violations, such as kidnapping, drug trafficking, interstate transportation of stolen goods, bank robbery and embezzlement, are reported under federal law, not local and state laws, thereby do not generally appear with county or state criminal checks. Federal criminal searches are conducted in a similar manner as a county check. Each state has at least one US District Court (some state with as many as four), to which a researcher conducts an on-site visit to uncover and pull relevant records. Average turnaround time is one to three days following the submission of the signed applicant release.

$11.25 per district, $21.00 nationally
